About this role
The Overnight Cabin Supervisor oversees administrative staff and manages day-to-day airport operations focused on cabin services. Responsibilities include assigning duties to direct reports, scheduling, staffing, and controlling budgeted hours while limiting overtime. This role ensures implementation of the Safety Management System (SMS) and station safety plans.
Daily tasks involve maintaining Quality Assurance oversight for performance and safety issues, providing corrective actions as needed. Supervisors perform subordinate duties when necessary, train personnel in airline procedures, safety, and company policies. They handle off-schedule operations like weather delays and passenger assistance during overnight shifts.
Work in a dynamic airport environment requires coping with extreme weather, high winds, rain, ice, and snow. Lead teams with tact across clients, employees, and the public while resolving passenger issues. Maintain confidentiality and good employee relations, efficiently handling problems.
Growth comes through leadership in airline operations, communicating with senior management, and projecting a positive image. Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- HS Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License (Must meet the G2 Company Driving Policy)
- One year of front-line experience in a similar or related role
- Minimum one year of lead or supervisory experience in a similar or related role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must meet requirements to obtain an airport SIDA badge, including background check and ten-year work history
- Must have a reliable mode of communication and transportation
Responsibilities
- Oversee administrative staff and assign duties to direct reports
- Manage day-to-day operations for scheduling/staffing, budgeted hours, and limiting overtime
- Ensure implementation of the Safety Management System (SMS)
- Implement a safety plan for the station
- Maintain Quality Assurance oversight for operational issues relating to performance and safety
- Perform all duties of subordinate employees when necessary
- Train/retrain personnel in airline procedures, safety procedures, and company policies
- Handle off-schedule operations when the Manager is not available
